Overview
A door sash is the window frame section of a vehicle door. It holds the glass run seal and guides the door glass as it moves. Because the sash is visible and must seal well, the profile needs to stay consistent along its whole length. Cold roll forming produces that consistency.
Star Auto Industries has produced door sash profiles for passenger cars, utility vehicles and commercial vehicles. The range includes front, rear and centre sashes, sash assemblies and rear window frames.

How it is made
These profiles are cold roll formed. A metal strip passes through a series of roll stations, and each station bends it progressively until the strip reaches the required cross-section at room temperature. Learn about our manufacturing capabilities.

Which materials can you roll form?
We roll form CR and HR steels in grades D, DD, EDD, HSLA, GA, and austenitic stainless steel (301–304), from 0.5 – 8.0 mm thick and 10 – 1,800 mm wide.
